Unfortunately, no. He’d take me to Caroga Lake, upstate New York, when I was young. A bygone, magical place.

You may be correct and I have no idea how MUCH clearer. I have no way of measuring how disabled I was, and maybe I don’t really WANT to know.
Chagall, EYE should make a video of My Grandparent’s beloved place in Jordan Bay — subject of My Grandfather’s book “Anchorage Northeast” — left abandoned after My Brother Howard died in 2007 — before it falls down altogether, or is razed.
Since you refer to the place as beloved, I think that’s a fine idea. –CC
It was The Last Pool ( a compilation of Upstream & Down and Big Stony) and Familiar Freshwater Fishes of America and Native Inheritance (The Story of Corn in America) and Angler’s Choice. My son Peter Lowe Haeghaert started reading His Great Grandfather this summer, much to My Delight.
I was thinking of doing the same. I love the genre and style of the writing.
I think I need to go with someone and I’m worried about breathing in mold. If I wear a dust mask My Voice might be muffled. I also wonder if there would be enough light. These are probably all excuses because the idea of doing a video of that haunted place gives Me the creeps.
Maybe the video opens with the initial engagement and then opening up the place to intensely wonderful air and light.
Your grandfather also wrote The Long Pool and The Big Stony – yes?
