LORAZEPAM

The Hawk Portico 5:30pm

My Ativan Prescription

is filled @ the pharmacy

but I’m trying to figure

whether to purl or knit

instead

of going to get It —

there was a time

a grey time

when I would have held

the bottle close

& seen My Self

indulging in several times

the recommended dose

just to conk out

from life

or death

FROM MAGGOT TO SENSATIONALISM

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 6:22pm

I found A Fly, dead

but He was Bottle Blue

too beautiful to throw outside

but I had to

I could not have Him

on display

on My Kitchen Window Sill

with My Blue Bottle

Pouring Sculpture

for which I paid

$180.00

or could I?

FLAMING JUNE*

The Hawk Library 2:05pm

A Sheath of Silver

above Her Head

She lays below

Her Hair

painted through Her Tresses

bare —

She holds Her Secret

to Her Chest

*painted by Sir Frederic Leighton 1895

EYE WILL NOT

The Hawk Portico 4:57pm

EYE will not be contained

by a cottage studio

where EYE write or paint

the fog tumbling in

like the meringue

EYE fold

into MEYE Bread Pudding

LET’S GET ONE THING ESTABLISHED

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 5:55pm

My Orange Macro-me knitting bag

has Mylar sparkles & a lining

the colour of Flaming June’s dress

My Knitting Stitch is the colour

of drying blood

60 stitches wide by 22* rows

I am creating

The Swath

of My Endometrium

WHAT TO WEAR

The Hawk Deck 10:56am

I was going to write

a poem about knitting

on My Lap

with laundry on the line

but then I had to shower

& get dressed

in flaming orange

with plastic orange beads

galactic earrings

& My Heavy Crystal

UNIDENTIFIED CHIRP

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 5:58pm

I am drawn

to the outpost window

by the song

of a bird I cannot

see

NOT A HAIKU

The Tomato-coloured Couch 4:49pm

A Rose is like a Galaxy —

Its spiralling petals full

turning into A Nebula

READY

The Hawk West Desk Window 10:58am

I am ready to go

in My Ripped Grey Capris

& sleeveless purple top

dressed in the colours

I couldn’t paint

on top of My Bathroom Door

— grey —

(We have no towel racks)

& purple draped over

the door handle

MY CLOSET

The Hawk West Desk Window 3:45pm

I’ve picked out My Signing Party Dress:

moonlight silk Armani

worn only once

for an anniversary in Halifax

I out-grew it but

have shed the weight

My Suit Dress is sculptural with Its bodice jacket

& mother-of-pearl buttons

I will wear Silver Sandals

one heel glued on from

October 26, 2013

when I partied to unconsciousness

& threw up in a munchie tray

belonging to the richest woman

I know
