DAVID DUDICK
Division President

Mississauga, Ontario L4W 5P6
Dear Mr. Dudick:
Please find the enclosed unopened box of Nature Valley Sweet & Salty Cashew Granola Bars purchased February 6, 2016 at Sobey’s in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia. I request that you open it at your earliest convenience and look inside. Please find also, along with proof of purchase, my internet poem titled “Gyped” which was published on February 13 and proved to be one of my most popular poems in the history of my daily poetry blog which this April will be four years old.
Yours very truly,
Joanna G. Hyde
cc Colin Gates, Manager Sobeys
Well… this is different.
Thanks to a corrected typo in this letter, the manager’s copy of it and my poem Gyped are on their way to the President of Sobey’s — one of the largest grocery chains in Canada.
🙂
You made me giggle with your cute little happy face, but my letter is no laughing matter. David Dudick (luv the name) is supposed to get it today.
I had a similar experience as a child – true story – with Tootsie Roll pops. Justice will prevail. —CC
Did Davey Dudick respond yet? —CC
Tuesday night I got a call from the Consumer Services Manager wanting clarification of my complaint – she took notes and said “You have been heard.” I said that was my intention and declined her offer of coupons for other General Mills products. Haven’t heard from Sobey’s but expect to hear more from General Mills.
Consumerism in action! For what it’s worth: re my earlier experience with the Tootsie Roll Pops (I had purchased an entire box of Tootsie Roll Pops and there was not a single drop of tootsie roll in ANY of the pops) – my parents suggested I write them – I did – I received a 4 foot long tin container that resembled a giant tootsie roll, that held a hundred or so quality pops. Haven’t had one in decades. Maybe today – yeah, gonna buy one. And maybe a Joyva chocolate covered jelly ring as well! 🙂
Cute story. Can’t picture you with the 4 foot roll because I don’t know what you look like!
