MORNING LOOK

The Sky was beautiful
too intricately beautiful
to write about —
all I could do was look
at the heavy blue clouds
with faded mauve accents
and come upstairs
with Our Coffee

This is lovely. I love the sight of the setting or rising sun and often it takes my breath away too. ❤️
Thank you. I find the sky and water inspirational.

Amen. How often I’ve attempted to convey Copper-blue-gray-pink striated whites – and simply opted not to try to describe it.
A lovely poem. —Chagall
Thank you — though are you suggesting I should have left it as just those three lines?
Ah! An interesting reply on your part. I wasn’t thinking that, but am now considering that to just come upstairs with the coffee immediately after acknowledging the futility and leaving the setting is certainly an alternative write/read. 🙂 CC
Come to think of it, even the first two lines are pretty powerful.
Thanks for your observations on my writing (or Non Writing?).
