JOANNA’S ATTITUDE
by Joanna Gilman Hyde
The Hawk Portico 7:44pm
I have an attitudinal stance
toward The Surf
Its Sound
projects My Hips forward
My Arms are casually folded
My Head juts
from a profile view
I might be sloped like an S
from the back
I would look held in
crouched
like The Nautilus
Love your attitude! π Never lose it!
Thanks — I left out one line — did you get it?
No, I didn’t! What was it?
The line you left out, I mean π
The line about my folded arms — maybe I added it in on time for you to read the complete poem.
