DIVERSIFICATION

The Tomato-coloured Couch 7:39pm

I’m seeing The Universe again

this time on the behind

of My Navy Blue Long Johns

static-y with cat hair

globules of fuzz, lint

& God knows what all

ICE CREAM

The Hawk Kitchen 9:15pm

The Pink Residue

of My Husband’s Berries

& Ice Cream

lining His Dark Ceramic Bowl

poised to go into

The Emptied Dishwasher

is no longer a dirty dish

but A Modulated Receptacle

filled with One

Gigantic

Universe

STAR SCAPE PART II

The Tomato-coloured Couch 7:25pm

I have re-visited

My Dark Doorway

to remember Those same wavy

strings of Cat Hair

— and dust —

now that The Snow Particles

are gone

What’s left

but Dark Matter

composing

the majority of material

making up The Scape

of Last Night’s Stars?

STAR SCAPE

The Hawk Queen Bed 9:41pm

There’s a Star Scape

on The Window of My Black Front Door

back-lit by The Portico Light

— I know It’s snow, really —

but on close inspection

I see Little Threads

of maybe cat hair

individually straight

or wavy

COSMOS

The Tomato-coloured Couch 7:22pm

I am sitting, aligned

with The Sun, a candle

& My LIFE Glass, The Earth

before Me, ahead of My Right Knee

orbiting My Oval Glass Coffee Table

I am in the outer reaches

of The Solar System

My Couch is an asteroid belt

& My Room, My Living Room

is The Universe

contained

in This

My

Mind

THE GALACTIC TOMATO-COLOURED COUCH 5:35pm

There’s A Galaxy

on My Living Room Window Pane

It sits before an old sunset

tantalizing Me by Its Size:

on What Scale is It as Large

as The Galaxies in Space?

on the bacterial level

or the molecular level

or the neutron, proton, electron level?

Or smaller still?

Will I ever know The Difference

or is there no difference —

Is It All Relative?

THE HAWK DESK WINDOW 11:11pm

The Big Bang Theory

is One Big Sneeze

— if It ever happened —

& here We are

looking for One Big Tissue

& chanting

“God Bless You!”
