LAST NIGHT WE HAD A STORM

The Hawk Dining Room 9:28am

…leaving the expanse of roiling ocean

with Silver cascading off

in spray

to move in closer on a neighbour’s drive

— there an illuminated puddle —

the road is wet

reflective

right down to My Window Sash

a Silver

dot

ACCOMPANYING MY NAP

The Hawk Queen Bed 1:42pm

In keeping with The Churning Sea

loud enough to be heard

against windows closed for winter

I heard The Fog Horn’s Note

penetrate My nearness of sleep

And Joy Division Played ATMOSPHERE

The Head of Hawk Point Road 3:22pm

I have been chasing

down The Sky

along Hawk Point Road

I saw It fall

to The Ocean

in snowy squalls

I got back in My Car

& drove to The Head

where sun rays burst through

above a frayed Canadian Flag

blowing over a contemporary

grave yard

MILLION DOLLAR MORNING

The Hawk Dining Room 10:00am

How many times can I write

of The Silver Streaks

replicated from My Head

across My Newest Ocean?

A Million Times for I have

found a thousand opportunities

inside a game

which can only go

up

MORNING VIGIL

The Hawk Dining Room 9:06am

The Silver Glare

off The Sea

leaks into My Eyes

It makes Me thirsty

to watch It so

I’ll drink My Glass

marked “LIFE”

Then Under A Rosy Nebula

The Hawk Outpost 5:08pm

My View of The Ocean

rises unadorned

but for the faint swath of pink

from The Sun behind Me

having set, earlier

than before

FORESEEN

The Hawk Outpost 10:25am

The Birds on the wire

know not

the chaos to come

in human terms

Let Nature be spelled

& All Birds

sanctified

MIGHTY MORNING

The Hawk Dining Room 9:30am

The Morning Glare

off My Ocean

fills My Room

with liquid light

I glimpse My Self

in My Mother’s Mirror

to catch That Figure

of foreseeable might

SPOKEN

The Hawk Dining Room 9:55am

The Silver Clouds

beam across the sky

leaving Their Mark upon The Sea

The Sea is steel now

The Clouds heavy

with The Weight

of My Life-line

SEA-CHANGE

The Hawk Outpost 10:15am

I have risen to The Gleam Of Silver

aeons in the making

having set Its High

& clung to It

I will witness The World’s

turn-around

from the light of gold

to The Shower Of Silver —

from the day of the yellow metal

to The Night of The White
