ART FOR ART’S SAKE

The Hawk Kitchen 2:19pm

I am seeing The Colours

of Flaming June*

out on the highway

in scraps of florescent rope

in the roses and carnations from My Children

in My Frying Pan

of green and orange peppers

and in My Cold Weather Wear

warning of My Existence

*Frederic Leighton 1895

OPEN VIEW

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 7:09pm

The Sky looks painted tonight

like a scenic background

for a movie about

The Occupants of a house

on a rolling seaside

& how They all

fell in love

one by one

with Each Other

& then with

Themselves

BIG DAY

The Hawk Corner Room 10:38am

The Haze over The Sun

affords a pristine view

of the watery sparkles

splayed out across

My Precious Horizon

as I sit in The Lotus

Position & think

of My Friends & Lovers

THE GIRL WHO HAS TIME ON HER HANDS

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 5:20pm

When I see a quiet wave

break

from a dark blue swell

into a white ridge of foam

gliding along the rocky shore

I think of the arms

of Our Galaxy

cradling

All We Are

Our Lives

Our God

I HAVE A WINDOW BY MY BED

The Hawk Queen Bed 8:55pm

I have a window by My Bed

which lets The Whole World In

across the sonorous waves

of multitudinous peeps

the tourist cars arrive

to watch the deer

and the air of cool spring

seeps in

so soothing to a relative

from Florida

MASTICATION

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 1:55pm

I feed upon The View

before Me

and after Me

I will be embedded

in The Face, The Blue Face

of The Earth

as I gaze over

Its expanse

My Horizon

chewed to The Core

THE ACQUISITION

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 7:49am

The Sky to The East

is molten Silver

& to The West

as I wake

Sun lays Itself

across The Undulating Cape

illuminating

My Day After

The Acquisition

of My Silver Halo

Ring

MY BIRTHDAY

The Hawk Queen Bed 8:15am

The Shock of Silver

is with Me still

when I see

a band across The Sea

I think of My March 31st

Shower

& how It’s brought Me

to Sanctuary

SILVER REPORT

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 9:46am

along The Grey Horizon

I see a single streak

of Silver

behind Our Neighbour’s

leafless tree

with the gradual motion

of linear clouds

My Line gets washed away

then reforms

to complete

My Fullest View

SKY OF MORNING

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 8:21am

I See Silver

On The Ocean

‘neath An Opalescent Sky

One Fishing Boat

Sits Along The Horizon

A Gull & Crow

& Smaller Fry

Fly By

& By
