THEN THE SUN

The Hawk West Desk Window 7:45pm

Assessing The Opalescent Sky

To The Northwest Of Me

I Caught A Southerly Glimpse

Of The Setting Sun

Through A Bank Of Cloud

Breaking Open

Like An Eye

Dear Luke:

The Hawk Outpost 5:48pm

Last Night You Showed Me

The Moon

Tonight I Have Seen It

Again

Between Parted Clouds

While I Think Of You —

Your Friend,

Joanna

APRIL AFTERNOON

The Hawk Portico 3:28pm

Behind A Cloud Of Pinkish Hue

Our Sun Was Burning Silver Bright

The Cloud Dispersed Then From My View

I Embraced God’s Warm Delight

IN THE SINK

The Tomato-coloured Couch 8:04pm

Imagine My Black Frying Pan

hailing globules of bacon grease

coagulating into Silver Orbs

slowly swirling for aeons

Imagine Me Washing My Hands

under the tap, soapy water

disrupts that Universe

chancing for a new

set of bubbles

The Sound of Life

The Hawk Portico 1:57pm

Birdsong is The Sound of Life

with Ocean as a backdrop

I sit in Sanctuary

The End To Strife

and wait Here

for The World to Stop

HOME

The Hawk Deck NOON

The Vista Of My Mind

is an endless one —

There Is No Horizon

I am emanating

The Juice Of Life

I have come This Far

to regulate

to undulate

to populate

and I will stay Here

until The Chickadee

calls Me

Home

ALIVE

The Hawk Deck 11:27am

The Morning is Alive

with Birdsong

I can’t identify

except for The Chickadees

& Jays

I Am Here Today

Today

Today

MORNING REFLECTION

The Hawk Kitchen 9:05am

Have I written enough

of The Silver On The Ocean?

No — It is what I awaken

to on each clear day

It gives Me Solace

and Energy

for The Special Time

We’re in —

The Time of The Awakening

of The World

THE SUN RIGHT NOW

The Hawk Corner Room 8:35am

The Sun has such a glare

across the water This Morning

I can barely look at It

& when I close My Eyes

or blink

I see lime green

after-images

surrounded by red

LIGHT SOURCE

The Hawk West Desk Window 10:55pm

We are alive

and growing

from clay tracks

to veins of red and white cells

interlacing

Our bedrock cities

with electric towers

lit-up zones

We can be detected

when The Sun is behind Us

and when anybody feels

like looking
