THERE’S A RAINBOW IN MY CUP!

The Hawk Deck 8:49am

I love My Corny Apparition

of A Rainbow

in My Coffee Cup

seen only as I drink

— I checked to see where

It was coming from

and as I nod My Head

The Delightful Glitter

zooms through The Refraction

of My Eye-wear

as I stand in The Eastern Sun

MORNING PLAY

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 9:38am

EYE See The Mighty Silver

beaming off the water’s edge

I feel the warmth of Our Sun

across My Morning Face —

I see the spheres of illumination

through My Blinking Lash

I hear the coffee water boiling

calling for A Second Steep

SKY MORNING

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 7:45am

A golden band of sun

greets Me over this dark sea

I am just up

from an adequate sleep

ready to make the coffee

& let out a cat

or two

MORNING DRINK

The Hawk Deck 10:22am

I stand with My Glass

marked LIFE

in the sun of early fall

I glance to the gleam

on the ocean top

& devise

My Future Call

FOG LINE

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 7:55am

The Sun Has Risen

Above A Bank Of Fog

Obscuring My True Horizon

Creating A Softer Line

Couching The Sun’s Reflection

In The Ocean

Underneath

SEPTEMBER MORNING

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 8:05am

This Morning’s Light

has blended into The Sky

The Houses on The Beach

are silhouetted against The Sea

The Hedge Row rustles

through My Outpost Window

Our Coffee has been steeped

WHILE MAKING COFFEE

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 8:11am

I open My Window

to the cries of gulls

& flash My Eyes against

the light out over

My Morning Ocean

MORNING CLOUD

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 7:53am

Again My Sky is opalescent

framed within the window

of My Sliding Glass Door

I can hear the morning birds

the cats are quiet

coffee is ready to pour

IT GOES:

MORNING BATH

The Hawk Deck 7:52am

The Sun is in The Ocean

blazing off The Horizon

I hear no waves

only the repetition

of a nearby Crow

CAW CAW

He is preening Himself
