UNIDENTIFIED CHIRP
The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 5:58pm
I am drawn
to the outpost window
by the song
of a bird I cannot
see

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 9:18am
The Sky is heavenly this morning
with subtle streaks of sun rays
shining down in broken lines
of Silver on The Sea
–
When next I looked
the clouds had shifted
allowing Sun
to bathe the water
in glimmering shimmer
and to bathe My Heart
in Star Light
The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 10:03am
After a dessert plate was forked clean
a waggle of the tongue
sent Me on the run
& My Over-cooked Strawberries
were the very
colour
The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 8:11am
I open My Window
to the cries of gulls
& flash My Eyes against
the light out over
My Morning Ocean
The Tomato-coloured Couch 3:10pm
There is safety in talking
about the weather
but not in asking
about the doings of someone new:
“I don’t know the girl —
she writes poetry”
The Hawk Queen Bed 6:24am
The Sky is aflame
with The Rising Sun
& I have seen multitudinous
stars
at the start
of My Day
The Hawk West Desk Window 9:38pm
He lay flat out
My Longest Cat
black before The Window
of The Sun having
gone
The Tomato-coloured Couch 8:32pm
I See A Peach-coloured Star
lowering Itself
beneath the wires
sinking into the fog
of the shoreline
It Is My Home Star
