“NONE PLANNED”

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 10:11am

Standing firm in My Mrs Blair

grey sweat suit

from LL Bean

I order My Silver

watching The Shimmering Sea

and wearing no rings —

My Hands are naked

for the induction

of M(EYE) PROPHECY

EVENING MUSE

Eliza’s Room 8:41pm

Eliza’s Room is full

of peepers, peepers

and waves

and Me next to My Quilt

full of purple Love Rings

and a bed

yet undone

ELIZA’S WINDOW

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 8:28am

I wake to the sounds

of the ocean —

a distant Willet

and local gulls

It might be six

in the morning

but I am afforded

the luxury

of lying in bed

until 7:30

MORNING SHUSH

Eliza’s Room 7:30am

The Waves are subtle

from Eliza’s Room —

even the birds seem quiet

and I didn’t hear the crowing

of a neighbouring rooster

I saw yesterday

on My Way to The Guzzle —

I saw Him with His fine teal tail

and about four red hens

the next road over

from where I could see

the back of My House

and the new window

for where I sleep

CAPE SABLE ISLAND

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 9:28am

EYE have The Purity

of a dream —

like The Tears I Shed

on The Shoulder

of a grieving widow —

like The Silver Line

of wake behind

a fishing boat

along My Shimmering Ocean —

loved

NOW EYE HAVE THE SAME

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 10:05am

At Jordan Bay

My Grandmother

always watched The Ocean

dazzling —

She would tell Me

about The Diamonds

and Stars

and She would

allow Me to

relish Them and to

revel in Them

MORNING NOTE

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 8:22am

Seek Striated Sky

Over My Steel-grey Sea

As Our Coffee Steeps

MY PIECE

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 12:32pm

My Piece of Ocean

is My Window’s glorious portion

of sea-salt scape complete

with two charming abodes

down on the shore

with slate-blue water in front

& the scrub spruce

between Me

& their roof-lines

UPFRONT WORLD

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 7:42am

The Ocean is A Stage

with The Sun

Its Major Player

The Sky is The Backdrop

Changing at every scene

& The Waves at shore

The Footlights

on My Engaging View

NEW LIGHT

The Hawk Kitchen Outpost 3:06pm

I see The Clarity

of The Day in My Soul

from My Kitchen Outpost Window

I see The Blue of The Ocean

weight no longer upon Me

now with the waves

spraying ashore

each splash exemplifying the freshness

of My Lightened

Heart
