Thanksgiving 2026

last night was The Best Thanksgiving —
Canadian Thanksgiving —
I’ve ever been a part of.
I cooked for 2 days
for the 1st time in M(eye) L(eye)fe —
I made
The Turkey (breastside down
as Uncle Joe Hyde would have wished)
butt The Dressing of breakfast sausage,
apple, walnuts & white raisins
fell out
(butt Nobody cared.)
I made whipped sweet potatoes
w cranberries & maple syrup.
I made turnips w ginger stock
& brown sugar.
I made cornbread as an afterthought
& of course a chocolate trifle.
I made 2 different quiches
for breakfast the next day
& Peak (Bless His Heart)
declared
the mushroom, cream cheese & shallot
was the best quiche
He’d ever had.
