"Good Morning, World!"

Month: August, 2014

MY LIFE

The Hawk Portico 4:45pm

I want to write

My Life Out

in brilliant vibrancy

like the colours

of My Quilt

Purple & Teal

housed now

in a lavender room

by The Sea

(of course)

where I am

happiest

in a red deck chair

on My Front

Stoop

(The Portico)

entertained by amiable neighbours

taken care of

(in case I still need care)

by My

Glowingly Handsome Husband —

let Me write

too

about My Beautiful

Daughter

My Heroic Son

& yes

as the brightest

of all

let Me write

& Write

about My Love

which strings Me along

from water tap

to ocean spray

I drink

from My Glass

named Life

& I live

in Divine

Completeness

LATE SUMMER

Barrington Passage, NS 10:04am

I said “Good Morning!”

to three sets of 2

on The Barrington Bay Trail

and The Morning was

beautiful

when I thought of those

trucks

out of favour with Me now

I was called by A Chickadee

and so She is Timeless

I NEED A NEW SYMBOL

The Tomato-coloured Couch 7:44pm

I need A New Symbol

for good grace

white pick-ups

don’t cut it any-more

license plates with D’s & V’s

are crumpled down

below My New Acquisition

laying out on Eliza’s bed:

My Boldest Quilt

Stating The Strength Of Colour

Pattern

Handi-work

PROMISE

The Hawk Deck 6:07pm

I have habituated My Self

to picking up My Black Book

& looking inside

while waves sound out

by The Hawk Beach —

I am not a loner

I live with a man

yet I have known

several hearts

I have broken

though One resides with Me

upon which there will be

no desecration

SKY

The Hawk Queen Bed 10:30pm

I Spent The Evening

Drenched In Sky

With Flecks Of Cloud

Grey & Gold

Swimming Before Me

Behind My Eyes

MY QUILT

The Hawk Deck 7:30pm

I will wear mantles of mauve

purple & blue

turning My Insides out

by the beach-side

rolling in colours

of water & flesh

I will walk on sand

of a trillion suns

& rest, nap in the shade

of My Hands

“EYE”

The Hawk Deck 9:30am

Will My Poems Be

For A Later Time

When All We Have

Is The Future?

The Past Is Merely

In Our Minds —

Locked In Perhaps

Distorted —

But What Will My Poems Say

To New Generations

Who Will Perhaps

Think Like “Eye”?

BEDSIDE PRAYER

The Hawk Queen Bed 9:48pm

I Am God

I Am The Only God

I Know

please do not punish Me

for what I think

I think with My Brain

with My Body

& It is the only

Brain & Body

I Know
