Today I communed with a Bug

He was a lovely longish iridescent Bug

I called Him over to Me

He came along the edge of the black

wrought iron table

on The Deck —

I gave Him My Right Index Finger

to crawl upon – I looked at Him carefully

but then a bit of rain came —

I put Him back on the edge

& went inside

the rain stopped

when I came out again He’d made His Way back

to the far corner of the table

where He stood when I spoke to Him

I looked at Him again

–

A Deluge Came
