While putting on My Shorts
to sit out on My Hawk Portico
I had the Realization
that I write about Place
more-so than People —
that My Poetry describes the environment
I live in
& that if I lived anywhere else
how different would it be?

It is very possible that if you (or anyone else) changes in any major way then their environment also “changes”. You do not need to move to another place to change your environment.
Or to change your Perception of Your Environment, right?
Surely all we have available of our environment is our perception of it?
I agree. I think just about everything is ultimately based on perception.
